AbstractThis paper presents a reflection of the seven editions of the course "Use of Remote Sensing in the Study of the Environment", offered by the Earth Observation General Coordination of the National Institute for Space Research. This course is destined to the update and qualification of teachers of primary and secondary schools of the Brazil. The main goal of this course is to diffuse the use of remote sensing in education, and to encourage the development of environmentals interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary projects in schools that make use of satellite images in educational practices. This practice is more efficient when it is applied to the problems of the school community, because providing the improve learning and achievement of all students.
